Cub Scout Pack 46

Phelps, New York

Tiger (1st Grade)

Tiger Cubs is a program of exciting indoor and outdoor activities just right for a boy who is in the first grade and/or is 7 years old.  You are there with him as his support and guide, but you don't do things for him.  He will learn by doing things himself.  And as he learns and grows, your relationship with him will grow, too.

Your Tiger Cub and you, his adult partner, are a team.

As a parent or caring adult, you want your son to grow up to be self-reliant and dependable, worthy and caring.  Scouting has these same goals in mind for him.

As a Tiger Cub, your son will be part of a group of boys his own age called a den.  With his den, he can build confidence and self-esteem and earn recognition.  He will also gain a sense of personal achievement from the new skills he learns.  The Tiger Cub motto - Search, Discover, Share - will encourage him to reach out into his world.

These days, boys are often taught that winning is everything.  But Tiger Cubs teaches them to do their best and to be helpful to others.

1.  Boys sign up with an adult partner as a team.
2.  Boys will be part of a Tiger Cub Den.
3.  Each Tiger Cub Den has 5 - 9 boys and their partners.
4.  Each adult partner will be the Tiger Cub Den Leader.
5.  Tiger Cub Dens meet twice a month.
6.  Have one outing a month.
7.  Take part in a monthly Pack Meeting.
8.  Each adult partner takes a turn working with the den Leader to plan and lead a      Den Meeting/Activity.
9.  Meetings are based on monthly themes that follow the Tiger Cub motto of "Search, Discover, Share"

If these values and ideals are what you and your son are looking for, we would be pleased to have you join Pack 46!

Tiger Cubs meet on Wednesday nights at 6:00 p.m. at the Phelps Fire Hall, Ontario Street, Phelps, NY.

Tiger Cub Den Leaders are Michelle & Brian Maney.  They can be reached at (315) 781-0257 or mlmaney@rochester.rr.com
